The Xiaomi 15 series is the brand’s new flagship smartphones, and they are one of the first smartphones to arrive with the Snapdragon Elite chipset. Composed of the 15 and 15 Pro, the high-end lineup is currently exclusive to China.
The vanilla Xiaomi 15 comes with a smaller 6.36-inch frame that fits a FullHD+ 120Hz flat OLED display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. As with previous Xiaomi flagships, the 15’s cameras are Leica-branded with three 50MP shooters at the back and a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera at the front.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 15 Pro packs in a larger 6.73-inch 3200 x 1400 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen with a 32MP f/2.0 selfie lens. There are still three Leica-branded 50MP cameras at the back with its main camera being a 50MP f/1.4 Dual Pixel PDAF OIS lens and its telephoto has been upgraded to a periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom.
Despite its size, the smartphone uses a 5,400mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Its chassis is also rated for IP68 dust and water resistance.
Both smartphones support 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The base 15 has a 5,400mAh battery, while the Pro variant has a larger 6,100mAh unit. They also come with IP68-rated chassis.
The two will also come with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset complemented by up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro start at CNY 4,499 (PhP 37,000) and CNY 5,299 (PhP 44,000), respectively. They are currently exclusive to China. There’s no word yet as to when they will introduce the series into the global market.
