Xiaomi and World Vision has donated smart devices to a high school in Baseco, Manila as part of their annual initiative of ensuring 12 ICT students have access to essential resources. They were able to donate 24 Xiaomi Smart Air Purifiers, 10 Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets, and 6 Xiaomi TV A Pro Series 55-inch TVs. Each of the devices were chosen to enrich the learning experience of the beneficiaries.
The donation drive is part of Xiaomi’s Education Program, which aims to enhance students’ skills and give them resources to prepare them for future challengers. The brand is offering workshops and campus tours to immerse students in photography and gaming. The program also provides tools for learning such as smartphones, laptops, and other smart devices.
“We at Xiaomi advocate for making a positive impact on society through technological advancements worldwide. We hope that through our tools, students will be even more inspired to learn and build hopeful dreams for themselves and their community,” said Tomi Adrias, Head of Marketing at Xiaomi Philippines.
Xiaomi is also providing education through digital masterclasses. The company collaborated with San Beda University, where it conducted a photography workshop and campus tour for students. Students who joined were able to improve their photography and gaming skills using the Redmi Note 12 series.
