Xiaomi is entering the open-ear TWS space with the OpenWear Stereo. Its design is certainly a thing to look at, but the brand has designed it to be comfortable enough to be used throughout the day.
The OpenWear Stereo has been designed to be secured with its nickel-titanium shape-memory alloy that can be contoured to fit your ears. It’s coated with a soft and skin-friendly silicone to make it more comfortable to wear.
As for audio, it comes with 12x17mm elliptical dynamic driver that supports LHDC codec support. It reduces sound that might leak from its open design with a 10mm Sound Leakage Reduction Driver that keeps everything you hear inside your ear. There’s also dual-mic noise reduction to lessen noise while talking over the phone.
Xiaomi says that it can be used for up to 7.5 hours of continuous playback while its charging case extends the total battery life to 38.5 hours on a single charge.
It can be safely used outside for outdoor activities thanks to its IP54 dust and water resistance. Its controls can be customized via the Xiaomi Earbuds app and will come with integration to the Xiaomi HyperOS ecosystem.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo is priced at PhP 6,199 in the Philippines. You can now get it through the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores.
