It’s been barely a month since Xiaomi opened their first official store in the Philippines and the company is quickly gaining ground with its Filipino fans. Today, Xiaomi has officially announced that they are bringing their entry-level smartphones, the Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 Plus, here in the Philippines.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is one of the most affordable smartphones in Xiaomi’s current range. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is composed of a 13MP f/2.2 rear camera with LED flash while the front comes with a 5MP f/2.0 camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is the first smartphone from the brand which comes with an 18:9 display with a 5.99-inch screen and 2160 x 1080 resolution. Powering the system is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 4GB of RAM. Here are the complete specs for both thr Xiaomi Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 Plus:

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be available on March 15 via Lazada for PhP 4,590 while the Redmi 5 Plus will be available for PhP 9,990. Both models wills also be available on Xiaomi concept stores on March 17.
