Xiaomi has officially launched their new mid-range beast in India. Composed of the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro, both devices will come with decent specifications as well as a price that most of us can stomach.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch, 18:9 display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 and 2.5D glass. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that can come with either 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB variants. The rear camera is a 12MP f/2.2 shooter while selfies are taken with a 5MP camera with LED Flash. Here are the specs for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5:

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with the same display as the Redmi Note 5 but the SoC has been changed to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. The Note 5 Pro can either come in 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB of storage. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup: a 12MP f/2.2 primary camera and a 5MP f/2.0 depth sensor. Meanwhile, at the front is a 20MP shooter with LED Flash. Here are its specs:

The Xiaomi Note 5 is priced at INR 9,999 (USD 157) for the 3GB/32GB variant and INR 11,999 (USD 188) for the 4GB/64GB version. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, will can be bought at around INR 13,999 (USD 220) for the 4GB/64GB version and INR 16,999 (USD 266) for the 6GB/64GB variant. No information yet if they’re going to be released locally. Since Xiaomi is opening their first official store, however, the future is bright for future Xiaomi smartphones.
