Although the ZenWatch did not hit our local shores and did not quite hit a high note, Asus is back on the Android Wearable space with the ZenWatch 2.
Recently launched at this year’s Computex, Asus announced the Zen Watch 2 which comes in two sizes, one with a 22mm strap, and another with a 18mm strap.
Zen Watch 2 will be equipped with a desin almost similar to its predecessor with a tad bit difference with an additional button on the side. It will also come with an AMOLED screen with a piece of 2.5D curved Gorila Glass 3 on top, and powered by Qualcomm processors. The Zen Watch 2, will also have an improved dust and water resistance rating of IP67. In addition, the ZenWatch 2 has a more convenint magnetic charger cable instead of the plastic cradle, with a Remote Camera feature to pair with your phone. The full specification and price is said to be ready by IFA in September, so it is safe to say that we are expecting the Asus ZenWatch 2 to drop in stores by Q4 of this year or just before the holiday season with a price similar to the first iteration of the ZenWatch which is around 9,oooPhp to 10,000Php. In any case, we still hate that thick bezel, and we are still hoping for that 7-day battery life.
