Wandering like a lifeless oaf here in Taipei has its perks. I accidentaly stumbled upon the Zotac booth here at Computex 2024 and what I found was amazing. I found out that they are looking to launch a new gaming handheld PC in the Zotac Zone.
A good question that I found out is about the Zotac Zone’s hardware specifications. Thankfully, it’s not a company secret as they are handing out flyers with the details of the device. Below are the “planned” specs of this new handheld:
A fine print that you can notice at the end of the flyer is that the hardware is not final. While the device is still in its prototype or probably before release stage, we can still expect some changes to the above hardware specifications.
The Zotac Zone was also displayed as a playable unit with Horizon Zero Dawn as its game demo. The display was then showcased on a gaming setup complete with a monitor, keyboard and mouse, and headset. This shows that the Zotac Zone can be fully run as a traditional gaming PC provided that you have the preipherals.
As told to me at the booth, the release date of Zotac Zone is around Q3 2024. However, this is not final and is more of a planned release date. It is also be possible that release dates in several regions of the world may differ.
No official pricing for the Zotac Zone as of yet. We’ll update this article once we get official confirmation from the brand.
