Yes, There Is A New Game Plus
Like the old Dead Space from 2008 (yes, it is that old), the remake also has a new game plus for players to enjoy and discover new things. Aside from giving you the equipment that you have from your previous playthrough, you can also unlock new stuff as changes are introduced in the seemingly familiar second run.

You are in for a treat once you start New Game Plus in Dead Space Remake. Gone are the running and the fear during the early chapters of the game as you come in heavily armed with all the upgrades you have collected in your previous playthrough. If this is your first new game plus, you start with additional nodes, more credits, and the maximum upgrade to Isaac’s suit.

Unfortunately, you have to gather stuff again to progress through most of the locked doors in the game. Like before, you have to do the story in sequence and collect clearances and logs to fully explore and/or unlock achievements. As you have most of your items and equipment from before, this is definitely way easier than doing it the first time.
Dead Space Remake New Game Plus Unlocks
Aside from having to carry over your most of your progress from your first playthrough, you also get to unlock additional features and content. This additional content includes additional armor, an additional challenge, and an alternate ending to the game.
Level 6 Suit
As a reward for completing the game for the first time, you get to enjoy the best suit in the game. The level 6 suit is only available in new game plus and can be worn immediately after you purchase it from the first shop. It’s quite expensive though but it does sport a more combat-oriented look and offers all of the benefits of previous armors. The kicker is that it increases armor by 30%, making you impervious to most damages even on higher difficulties.
Secret Ending
Replaying the game also unlocks an additional ending that further expounds on the future of Dead Space Remake. For you to be able to view the ending, you have to collect twelve “Marker Fragments”. After collecting all twelve, interact with Captain Matthias’ table at the Crew Quarters to set all of the Marker Fragments and trigger the alternate ending.
Impossible Difficulty
The true Dead Space Remake challenge. This game mode uses the Hard difficulty with enemies being more durable and Isaac dealing less damage than normal. However, the deal here is that you only have one save slot and you can only die once. No checkpoints, just back breaking survival. You do get to unlock a secret weapon and suit for completing this difficulty. And no, you cannot play this on new game plus so you have to start from scratch.
