Dota 2 continues to hype up players and probably entice more to return by giving out a free Arcana. Yes, you read that right. This is neither a scam nor a ploy to trick you. The Arcana is free as in you don’t have to pay anything but you have to do something to get it. Read to know more about how to get this free Arcana.
To celebrate TI 2022 and the inline with the Battle Pass 2022, Dota has released a “Swag Bag” containing three goodies. You can claim this swag bag by simply logging in to Dota 2 and clicking on the prompt on the upper left side of the main menu. However, you can only claim the rewards if you have played at least ten games during the Battle Pass 2022 season.
After clicking on the “Select Arcana” button, you immediately receive the Arcana that you chose. Note that there may be issues in receiving it as it took a few seconds for me to receive it due to some connectivity errors. Just wait for the Arcana that you chose and unpack it to use it.
If you’re still on the fence in getting a Battle Pass, now is a good time and you don’t have to gift a Battle Pass or anything. If you’ve been playing even without a Battle Pass, you’re good to go and claim it together with its bonuses and rewards. However, you may have to grind it a bit more than those that purchased it from way way back.

You can only choose one Arcana and you get to keep it permanently. Make sure to weigh your choices first and choose an Arcana that you won’t regret keeping. While you can consider the price, it is still best to choose one that you plan on using or one that you have been intending to buy.
If you plan on capitalizing on this bonus and get free Arcanas that would last you a lifetime, you won’t be able to. The Arcanas cannot be traded and you cannot sell it on Steam Market. It also cannot be deleted and is somewhat permanently tied to your account.
If you have old friends looking to play if you give them an Arcana, now is the time to invite them back. This free Arcana offer is only up until the Battle Pass ends which is January 2023.
