Following the heels of the Nokia 9 PureView is the Nokia X71. As the first smartphone with a punch hole display from Nokia, it seems that the brand will be veering away from traditional designs in their future smartphones.
Despite sharing the same screen design as the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, the Nokia X71 is actually a mid-range device. Its display is a 6.39-inch FullHD+ screen with a 93% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D Glass. Its punch hole houses a 16MP front-facing camera.
Nokia is also saying that the X71’s screen can produce 500nits of brightness and is rated for 96% NTSC coverage.
The rear of the Nokia X71 holds three cameras courtesy of Zeiss. It is composed of a 48MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP f/2.0 depth sensor for portraiture. Just below the cameras is a standard rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Inside the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can also expand the storage by up to 256GB via the MicroSD slot.
The Nokia X71 runs on Android 9.0 Pie and is part of the Android One program, which means it will get constant updates. The device is powered by a 3,500mAh battery charged via a USB Type-C port with support for 18W (9V/2A) Fast Charging.
