To unlock more Anomaly Quests and Afflicted Monsters, you must first raise your MR to an acceptable level. After reaching a set level, you must then clear a challenging quest to remove your MR cap and get more Anomaly Quests. Below are the conditions that you need to fulfill in order to unlock more difficult Anomaly Quests:
Aside from raising your MR rank, you also must defeat the Master Rank versions of the monsters for their afflicted versions to appear. You can either do the monster’s solo hunting quest or hunt them with other monsters to unlock their Anomaly Quest. Also, you can join other players’ anomaly quest runs even if you have yet to unlock them.
