MHR Sunbreak Citadel Sub-Camp – How To Unlock
How To Unlock Sub-Camp
- Visit the sub-camp location
- Get the side quest
- Complete the side quest
- Unlock and enjoy the new camp
Sub-Camp Map Location
In the Citadel, the one and only sub-camp is located north of the map, behind the cliffs and rocks. To get there, you can either spam your Wirebugs or just follow the path leading towards the top of the cliffs. This new sub-camp is next to the Citadel and the top-part of the map where most of the larger monsters spawn.
Start From The Base
Climb up these vines to get to the path to the Citadel Sub-camp. Once you reach the top of the cliff, turn left and follow the path towards the northeastern part of the map.
Hug The Left Wall
Once you find yourself in an open area with a broken flight of stairs, use the path left of the stairs. Continue hugging the wall until you find an opening. Head inside and press forward to find the location of the base camp.
Slay Some Boggi
Upon finding the location of the sub-camp your next step is to talk to Oboro the merchant to get the side quest to unlock it. Afterwards, go back to the Citadel to slay 8 Boggi.
Boggis are small creatures mostly around the cliffs of areas 1, 10, and 13 of the Citadel. You can farm and slay these creatures while doing quests in the Citadel.
Are There Other Sub-Camps In The Citadel?
Despite its large size, the Citadel only houses one sub-camp. Unfortunately, this means that you have to manually travel towards the western part of the map. As an alternative, you can use Buddy Recon to fast travel instead.
What Are Sub-Camps?
Sub-camps are locations in regions in which you can “teleport” to for convenience. If your target monster can be found wandering near your sub-camp, it’s best to just move there instead of starting with the main one. Sub-camps are also good locations for you to regroup and restock your items. They can also be used to eat dangos should you find yourself forgetting to eat some before leaving the main hub.
