In Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak (MHR Sunbreak), players get to raise their Master Rank to unlock more powerful enemies to fight. Get to know how to raise your MR rank fast, tips, and more using this guide.
Obviously, the fastest way is to of course capture or slay more master rank monsters. However, you’ll notice that raising it further can be hard once you reach MR 30. Slaying either Master Rank monsters or Afflicted versions of them hardly grants you a single point to your MR. So what is the fastest way to raise MR?
High MR Quests feature more difficult monsters but do reward you with better loots and higher MR points. While easier and faster, low MR quests reward you with less Master Rank. Get your gears up to its highest level and farm the more difficult quests to get to the Master Rank that you desire.
The rule of thumb is that the higher the monetary rewards, the more MR you get from that quest. Quests that reward more money are often difficult so look for ones that you can farm reliably. Afterwards, optimize and try to clear that quest below ten minutes or five minutes. Quests situated inside the Arena map are better as they remove the travel time between points.
With the equipment that you have after slaying Gaismagorm, you’ll likely be more than enough for this kind of missions. Points for MR is gained whenever you slay or capture a master rank monster. Get quests with multiple monsters so that you efficiently gain more MR. They may sound hard and difficult but with late game items, they are more or less easier than the first time you tackled them. Also, multiple monster quests situated in the arena are more or less better in terms of doling out MR.
One thing you’ll notice with Master Rank quests that have multiple monsters in them is that the monsters are easier. They have far less HP and are more manageable than their solo counterparts. Take advantage of this and hunt with friends to easily finish these missions.
Wyvern Ride your way to victory by having the monsters fight each other. Don’t forget to ram and use the other monster so that you can then use it to whittle down the HP of your other target/s. Also note that Wyvern Riding has a cooldown and you can ride the same monsters again after some time.
Raising your MR unlocks more new powerful monsters that you can battle. They hit harder, have far more HP, and have new moves to show. Since you’re hunting monsters for a living, best see them all, right? Also, given the past updates in Monster Hunter Rise, some monsters may be introduced later on via high MR quests here in Sunbreak.
Aside from the enticing call of seeing new formidable foes, these monsters also drop rarer materials. These materials can then be used to craft rarer and more “end game” items.
