In Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak (MHR Sunbreak), players can battle a more powerful MR version of Crimson Glow Valstrax. Get to know how unlock Master Rank Valstrax, quests that you need, requirements, and more using this guide.
To unlock MR Valstrax, you first need to reach MR70. You can do this after you beat the Master Rank version of Narwa the Allmother (MR30) and Furious Rajang (MR50). It might take some time to reach MR70 as you need to clear a couple of quests and slay/capture a number of monsters to raise your Master Rank. At this point, multiple MR quests may be required to raise your MR by a single point so be patient and continue to hunt!

As this is a Master Rank version of Crimson Glow Valstrax, be prepared to fight an Elder Dragon that hits like a truck and zooms around the field. Bring a lot of Flash Bombs and review its moves by hunting the High Rank version a couple of times.
One continuing trend with Master Rank version of monsters is that they usually add another attack to their usual combos. For MR Valstrax, be wary of its blast attacks as it does it twice now in quick succession. Some other moves also now have an extra strike added to them. As always, make sure that the coast is clear before you stand up or Wirebug your way out.
Remember the cool Valstrax set from the vanilla game? Well, it’s back and it has better stats and of course, better defense. Given the Valstrax armor set’s aggressive skill set, you might be able to use it with other sets too!
