These perks provide passive bonuses that improve the player’s base performance and can be crucial in battle. Perk Differences

In Modern Warfare 2, players can equip four perks and bring them into battle. However, these perks cannot be used all at the same time and some time must pass before you can use the Bonus Perk and the Ultimate Perk.

• Basic Perk – effective from the start of the match
• Bonus Perk – effects start after 1:15 into the match. 2:30 for bigger matches.
• Ultimate Perk – effects start after 4:05 into the match. 5:35 for bigger matches.

Times Change Depending On The Game Mode

Note that the times mentioned above are different depending on game mode. Unlocking the Bonus and Ultimate Perks take a bit more time in larger battles namely in Ground War and Invasion.
