What Are Shotguns In Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2?

Incredible Damage

Shotguns are masters when it comes to CQC and are closely tied with the SMGs in the position. They deal instantaneous damage when fired, littering an enemies body with tremendous overall damage. Anyone standing near a shotgun is sure to be obliterated by its firepower. However, shotguns have pretty weak effective range and are vulnerable during reloads, especially the pump action ones. Missing a shot can be extremely detrimental making it a high risk high reward weapon.

Lacks Range

As Shotguns are made for close-range combat, they are ineffective when battling enemies from mid to long range. With this, they can be pretty good partners for Snipers and Marksmen as they can be equipped as a secondary weapon for the occasional tight fights and room clearing.
