One of the leaders of Talon, Doomfist is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict that he believes will make humanity stronger.
A very offense-oriented tank, Doomfist is pretty straight-forward when it comes to attacks. Particularly useful in short-range, Doomfist can close gaps and pound enemy back lines without any problems. Unfortunately, the lack of defensive capabilities makes it extremely hard for Doomfist to stay in the thick of the fight so a quick in and out is recommended.
A highly trained fighter and born leader, Akande Ogundimu lost his right arm in the Omnic Crisis, then joined Talon. Rising through the ranks, he killed his boss – the previous Doomfist – taking his eponymous weapon and title. Now, he is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict for his own mysterious purposes.
Hand Cannon | Short-range weapon with spread. Reloads automatically. |
Meteor Strike | Press the button to leap up into the air. Move the targeting circle, then press that attack button to strike the targeted area. |
Seismic Slam | Leap and smash the ground. |
Power Block | Protect yourself from frontal attacks. Blocking heavy damage empowers Rocket Punch. |
Rocket Punch | Hold to charge then release to launch forward and knock an enemy back. Damage increases if the enemy hits a wall. |
The Best Defense… | Dealing damage with abilities creates temporary health. |
Role: Tank | Reduces knockbacks received. Less ultimate generated by healing and damage received. |
Power Block is an ability that allows Doomfist to block incoming frontal attacks. While blocking damage, Power Block empowers Doomfist’s Rocket Punch, allowing him to deal severe damage when executed correctly. This combo can be quite hard to do as you will be putting yourself in the line of enemy fire with vulnerable flanks and rear.
Similar to Winston, Doomfist can jump into the fight using Seismic Slam. Although not as far as Winston’s Jump Pack, it can still be pretty effective if used well. Look for alternate routes to surprise the enemy and use it whenever an opportunity presents itself. Always aim for less mobile foes like Supports to allow your team to hem in and get more kills.
