Wrecking Ball is piloted by an intelligent, genetically engineered hamster named Hammond, who explores the world, searching for adventure.
A very mobile tank, Wrecking Ball makes use of his maneuverability to zoom around the map and disrupt enemies. Though his attacks are somewhat weaker in comparison to other tanks, Wrecking Ball makes up for it with its innate speed and knockback ability.
This hamster’s genetic therapy on the Horizon Lunar Colony resulted in his greatly increased size and intellect. Hammond taught himself engineering and mechanics, and escaped to earth, landing amidst the Junkers of the Australian Outback. There, he modified his escape pod into a battle mech called Wrecking Ball and became a champion gladiator and the bodyguard of the notorious Junker Queen.
Quad Cannons | Automatic assault weapons. |
Minefield | Deploy a massive field of proximity mines. |
Grappling Claw | Launch a grappling claw to rapidly swing around the area. Enables high speed collissions to damage and knockback enemies. |
Roll | Transform into a ball and increase maximum movement speed. |
Piledriver | Slam into the ground below to damage and launch enemies upward. |
Adaptive Shield | Create temporary personal extra health. Amount increases with more enemies nearby. |
Role: Tank | Reduces knockbacks received. Less ultimate generated by healing and damage received. |
Wrecking Ball’s potential greatly increases the more you are familiar with the map. As mobility is his greatest strength, knowing where you can hide to regenerate and where you can pop up is a huge advantage. Also, knowing where health packs are located can save you a great deal as you charge across the map.
To maximize Wrecking Ball, make good use of timings and be on the look out for opportunities. Your objective is to get into the fray, activate your shield, and try to wreck the enemy’s formation as much as you can. With you being the target of most attacks, your team can hem in and dispatch the confused members of the enemy team. After soaking enough damage, use your mobility and retreat to heal up so you can get back quickly into the fight. Rinse and repeat.
The Minefield is an extremely useful ultimate move as it more or less blocks a patch of land. Use it when defending or to create for bottlenecks for your team to maneuver and punish the opposing force.
