PayMaya is now Maya, your all-in-one app for banking, crypto, wallet, and more

-

PayMaya has evolved from being an e-wallet to an all-in-one money app Maya for your banking and crypto needs. It still packs all its e-wallet capabilities but has expanded to include a digital bank, cryptocurrency, and credit to help you manage all your financing needs in just one app.

Maya Savings – Up to 6% for Savings

Maya Savings

You can now grow your savings even faster with Maya Savings as it offers a 6% savings rate – one of the highest offered in the market to date. For upgraded Maya users, you can already access this easily. For those who haven’t upgraded their account – you just need 1 valid ID, and a video selfie to unlock this feature for your savings.

Unlike other e-wallets in the market, Maya Savings is powered by its own BSP licensed digital bank, Maya Bank. This means that Maya offers a more seamless customer experience within the app, than what you’re used to.

On top of the high interest rates and easy registration process, another thing we like about Maya Savings is their hide amount feature – which is perfect if you like taking screenshots of your app for the gram. Basically, you just tap the eye icon beside your account balance so it’s not displayed on your app. With this, you can flex your savings account worry-free online!

Maya Credit – Quick Cash of up to PhP 15,000

Sometimes we get caught a bit short especially on surprise expenses. Maya is offering an easy way out with Maya Credit. Upgraded Maya users who are actively using the app for at least 6 months can be qualified for a credit line of up to PhP 15,000.

Maya Credit

Eligible users can take out up to PhP 15,000 loan within the app. Approved credit limit will need to be transferred to the wallet in order to be used for bills payment and other purchases. In terms of payment, Maya Credit lets you choose your billing date – so you can easily schedule this on your sweldo day when you have enough funds to pay.

Do note though that Maya Credit is still currently on Early Access so you may have to wait for a bit to become eligible to avail of this feature.

Maya Crypto – Easy Crypto Investments

Cryptocurrency is a hot commodity and Maya dives right into it to allow more Filipinos to invest. Maya streamlines the experience, allowing customers to buy, hold, and sell crypto all within just one app.

The Maya app currently supports a range of cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Polygon, Uniswap, and Tether among many others. Buying and selling is easy – just tap on the crypto icon on the home screen, click on “Buy” or “Sell”, choose the currency you want, and put the amount you want to trade.

The app also comes with a “Learn” section for beginners to read up on cryptocurrency and basic terminologies.

What’s Next for Maya?

Maya Bank

Maya has greatly expanded its capabilities and they are not done improving their finance services. They are rolling out sending money via @username so users can have an easier and more personalized experience when sending money to their family and friends. The app will also soon sport a Dark Mode – a surprising first for a financial app in the Philippines.

All in all, we love the new Maya and the fact that they’re combining all these fintech features in just one app. This makes dealing with money so much easier and more seamless as everything you need is just a swipe away. We’re excited to see what else Maya has in store for us.

Want to experience Maya for yourself? Download the app for free on the Apple AppStore or Google PlayStore.
