ASUS is stepping up their monitor gaming with the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP – one of the first displays to come with 540Hz refresh rate. It is plenty fast for most gamers especially competitive esports pros but ROG has also launched a 500Hz monitor last year
Like its predecessor, the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP limits resolution to only 1920 x 1080 and uses a TN panel. Despite not having the best caliber when it comes to color, they say that it will still support 90% DCI-P3.
Aside from speed, the monitor will also support NVIDIA G-SYNC and NVIDIA Reflex plus a built-in ESS USB Codec to ensure near-zero audio latency.
It goes without saying that this monitor will need to be paired with a rather beefy setup most likely including at least NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 that can push framerates up to 600fps at 1080p on select competitive titles.
ASUS has yet to announce the official availability of the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP. Rumors say that the monitor will cost around USD 899 (PhP 50,000) but that remains to be confirmed by the company.
