The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has officially made its debut and it’s a direct upgrade from last year’s Galaxy A53 5G. It does have a few upgrades including a new Exynos 1380 chipset but largely stays near its predecessor when it comes to the spec sheet.
The Galaxy A54 5G removes the depth camera and simplifies its camera setup at the back. It now only comes with three rear lenses: a 50MP f/1.8 main with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro.
Its rear design mimics the Galaxy S23 and S23+ thanks to the reduction of the number of lenses and its glass back panel. Meanwhile its display is a 6.4-inch 2400 x 1080 Super AMOLED panel running at 120Hz. The chassis is rated at IP67 for dust and water resistance.
It will run Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on top. This new revision of Samsung’s OS brings in a couple of new software features including object eraser in the Gallery allowing for easier removal of unwanted objects in a photo. Battery capacity and charging remains the same at 5,000mAh and 25W Fast Charging, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is priced at PhP 24,990 and PhP 26,990 for its 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants in the Philippines, respectively.
