The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G has officially made its way into the Philippines. It is an improvement from last year’s A33 5G and now comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset instead of the company’s own Exynos chip and a slightly larger 6.6-inch 2340 x 1080 120Hz SuperAMOLED screen.
Samsung is using a Prism Pattern Back design at the rear. They have removed one the 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor from its predecessor. This simplification of the rear cameras also allows it to mimic the looks of the S23 and S23+.
Speaking of the cameras, the Galaxy A53 5G comes with a 48MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens at the back. Selfies are taken with a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.
Charging speeds and battery capacity remains the same at 5,000mAh and 25W Fast Charging, respectively. It will run on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 with additional software features like Object Eraser built-in to its Gallery app.

The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G is priced at PhP 19,990 and PhP 21,990 for the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models, respectively. Those who will pre-order until March 30, 2023 will get a free Travel adapter and a free storage upgrade that will move you to the higher storage tier if you get the 128GB model.
You can also enjoy savings of up to PhP 10,150 if you trade-in your old smartphone as well as 50% and 30% discount on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch5 series, respectively.
