Tacticus Asmodai – Master of Repentance

Tacticus Asmodai

Asmodai is the Dark Angels’ most successful interrogator-Chaplain. Relentless and humourless, in battle he incites his brothers’ fighting spirit to reach new heights, rendering them unstoppable killing machines by chanting his litanies of hate with unshakeable belief.

Tacticus Asmodai Abilities

Exemplar of Hate

Targets an enemy on the battlefield. For this round and the next, all friendly units deal +16 Damage against that enemy with melee or Overwatch attacks. If that enemy is Chaos, it gets Suppressed and Asmodai or another friendly Dark Angels immediately performs a normal attack against the target, dealing 80% of its own damage, to a maximum of X Damage per hit.

Feared Interrogator

Deals +X Damage against enemies that are Suppressed, Stunned, or that are adjacent to another friendly Dark Angel. Scores 1 additional hits if the enemy is also Chaos.

Tacticus Asmodai Traits

Terrifying

Takes -30% Damage from Melee attacks.

How To Use Asmodai

Angry Against Chaos

Asmodai’s kit is maximized if you are facing Chaos units. His “bonking” stick and passives are all empowered when targets are Chaos. Unfortunately, this also makes him a subpar pick when combating other factions like other Imperials and Xenos.

Melee-only Ability

Be sure that you have melee units at the ready when you use Exemplar of Hate. It does grant buffs to ranged Overwatch but player-controlled attacks are only limited to melee. Make sure to position your units around the target enemy before you use the ability to maximize its effects.
