Deploying rapidly onto the battlefield via blazing teleport strikes, Deathwing Terminators pour heavy fire into their enemies or engage them in brutal melee. They are the unbreakable elite of the Dark Angels that can conquer and hold any key position.
Deals 3x X Plasma Damage to an enemy within range and up to two enemy units behind the target. This ability can be used multiple times per battle but has a cooldown of 1 round.
Each time Baraqiel blocks damage during an attack, all further incoming damage is reduced by X and the damage Baraqiel deals with melee or Plasma Cannon attacks is increased by X for 1 round. This effect is doubled against Chaos enemies or when standing adjacent to another Dark Angel.
This unit starts the battle in Deep Strike.
Units in Deep Strike can move to any free hex on the battlefield that is not adjacent to an enemy, or they can move normally from their current position. They cannot be targeted or damage until they have taken an action or ended their turn.
This unit deals with +50% Damage with normal Melee attacks if it has not moved this turn.
When this unit has not moved this turn, it deals +25% Damage with ranged attacks.
The first attack each turn against this unit deals -75% Damage. Hits dealing Psychic or Direct Damage are excluded. This unit cannot be Suppressed.
Baraqiel’s Plasma Cannon can be used multiple times and only has a second of cooldown. This means that you can take a normal mission, preferably a boss fight so you have a lot of enemies, and then use Baraqiel to tank attacks and spam Plasma Cannon. With this technique, you can farm those “use ability X times” objectives easily. While it does take some time, you don’t have to spend a lot of resources just to satisfy a single objective.
You can use Baraqiel to act as a tank to soak damage. From the get-go, you can teleport him to the middle of the field to impede the advance of enemies. If possible, use the terrain to reduce the damage further. Use this method to delay the enemy and get more favorable positions in a fight.
