Members of the Death Company are possessed of a berserker fury, driven insance by terrible visions and hallucinations. Barely flinching at even the most grievous of injuries, they seek nothing by the destruction of their enemies and death in battle.
If Lucien has not moved, he is set to X% Health. He then immediately charges a targeted enemy in movement range and performs a normal melee attack against it. For this attack and until the end of the battle, Lucien has +1 Movement and deals +Y Damage when charging. Additionally, Lucien can no longer be controlled for the rest of the battle, and moves and attacks automatically at the beginning of his turn instead.
After performing a normal attack, Lucien performs a second attack targeting an enemy within range 2, dealing 2x X Bolter Damage. If Lucien is at or below 50% Health, all of his attacks have +Y% pierce ratio.
This unit has +1 Movement until it makes either a melee or ranged attack. Its first attack each battle and all following attacks it makes in the same turn deal +25% damage.
If this unit is not already at 1 Health and would be defeated, its Health is instead reduced to 1 Health, unless Overkilled.
This unit does not have to stop on Hex effects like Fire, Razor Wire, Broken Ice, and others that would normally force a unit to end their Movement.
Lucien, with enough levels, can be a beast in battle. His first skill allows him to have more damage, increased pierce, and mobility throughout the rest of the fight. The only downsides are that it whittles him down to more or less between a third or half of his health, and he cannot be controlled. You can at least compensate for the loss of HP by bringing a Healer to accompany him- if the Healer can catch up.
Lucien’s first ability does make him a monster but it also makes him a red hot target for ranged units. Snipers can make short work of Lucien given the significant reduction of HP at this stage. Make sure you position Lucien first before you trigger the first ability so that his sacrifice would not be in vain.
