Intercessors equipped with powerful jump packs soar over the battlefield, slamming into the foe like a hammer from the skies. They swiftly cut down all opposition with point-black pistol fire and furious slashes, before launching off to engage the next target.
If Mataneo has not moved, he gains Infiltrate until the end of this turn, charges an enemy target that has a free adjacent hex within movement range 5, dealing 2x X Power Damage to the target and 1x Y Physical Damage to all enemies adjacent to it. If Mataneo is at or below 50% Health, doubles the damage dealt by this ability.
This ability’s Damage ignores all of the attacker bonuses and modifiers (including elevation), and cannot Crit.
When charging, Mataneo summons 2 Jump Pack Intercessors adjacent to and immediately attacking his target. At the beginning of each Mataneo’s turns, if he is still on the battlefield, all Jump Pack Intercessors summoned this way leave the battlefield.
This unit starts the battle in Deep Strike.
Units in Deep Strike can move to any free hex on the battlefield that is not adjacent to an enemy, or they can move normally from their current position. They cannot be targeted or damage until they have taken an action or ended their turn.
Can traverse impassable hexes and enemies and move between any elevation.
This unit has +1 Movement until it makes either a melee or ranged attack. Its first attack each battle and all following attacks it makes in the same turn deal +25% damage.
When conditions are right and Mataneo is under 50% Health, his first ability, Hammer of Wrath, deals double the damage. However, this move requires enemies to be within 5 movement range. This ability is pretty useful if you wish to hit squishy enemies from afar.
Whenever Mataneo charges enemies, he calls down two more Jump Pack Intercessors to attack the same target. In PvE, most enemies prioritize these Jump Pack Intercessors, delaying direct attacks to your team. Take advantage of this behavior and try to attack far off enemies to continue spawning these additional units.
