Swooping on leathery wings, Parasites of Mortrex use their barbed ovipositors to drive Ripper gestation pods deep into their victims’ bodies. They wreak havoc on the foes of the Hive Fleet by soaring over defences and seeding unlucky souls with nascent Rippers.
Suppresses and pushes an adjacent enemy unit and all enemy units adjacent to both the target and the Paraise of Mortrex one hex backwards. Enemy stepabbles on affected hexes are destroyed. Then summons a Ripper Swarm in each hex vacated by this ability. The Ripper Swarms can immediately attack. The Parasite of Mortrex may move again after activating this ability.
When the Parasite of Mortrex defeats a unit it targeted that is not Mechanical it summons a Ripper Swarm in the defeated unit’s hex.
Can traverse impassable hexes and enemies and move between any elevation.
Friendly units within 2 hexes ignore the effects of Instinctive Behaviour and Battle Fatigue.
The Parasite of Mortrex’s kit spawns a lot of Ripper Swarms. And I mean a lot. The active ability itself is useful if you are surrounded as it can push away enemies and then spawn Ripper Swarms at their previous locations. Another good thing to note is that the Parasite of Mortrex can move AFTER it does this, making the ability a good way to disrupt enemy lines.
Whenever the Parasite of Mortrex kills an enemy unit, it spawns a Ripper Swarm. Pair this with its first ability and you’ll be filling a good chunk of the map with Reaper Swarms.
