Daubed with runes of warding and abjuration, Hounds of Morkai are obsessed hunters of psykers. Runic circuitry augments their uniquely pitched hunting call, disrupting their prey’s powers and sowing fear before the kill.
Targets an enemy unit within 3 hexes and deals 1x X Physical Damage to it. If Tjark is not already adjacent to the target, it is then pulled 1 hex towards Tjark if possible, and can be pulled over any elevation but not through impassable terrain. Tjark then moves to occupy the hex the target originally occupied if it’s free, or a free adjacent hex if it is not. If there are no free hexes, then Tjark does not move.
Deals +X Damage against Psykers, and enemy Psykers within 2 hexes deal – X Damage.
Unless they are Immune, Enemy Psykers within 2 hexes will not hit an additional unit with their normal ranged attacks.
This unit does not trigger Overwatch
Takes -30% Damage from Melee attacks.
Tjark’s Grapnel Launcher allows him to land directly beside an enemy unit that is 3 hexes away. This can be pretty useful if you want to cross gaps or instantly deal damage to more vulnerable enemy units. It’s also worth noting that this can be used to bypass most obstacles, shortening what would have been a two-turn trip to just one.
Tjark’s passive grants him additional damage against Psykers. Not only that but it also lessens the amount of damage Psykers can deal, regardless if they target Tjark or not. Bring this character if you’re going up against Psykers. Another thing to mention is that Psykers are usually good targets for his Grapnel Launcher.
