Tacticus Tyrant Guard – Guardian Organism

Tacticus Tyrant Guard

Tyrant Guards are the ultimate bodyguards, the entire purpose of their creation being to protect their Hive Tyrrant. They take the form of colossal living shields, all but impervious to even the heaviest weapons.

Tacticus Tyrant Guard Abilities

Crushing Claws

Deals 2x X Piercing Damage to an adjacent enemy and Taunts them for 1 round. Enemies adjacent to both the Tyrant Guard and the taret take 1x X Physical Damage and then get pushed back 1 hex. All affected units become Suppressed for 1 round.

Guardian Organism

If the Tyrant Guard is within Synapse range or did not move during its previous turn it and friendly units affected by its Big Target trait take -27% Damage during the enemy’s next turn up to a maximum of -108 Damage per hit.

Tacticus Tyrant Guard Traits

Big Target

Due to its size this unit benefits less from cover, but also provides some obstruction to enemy sighting. Does not get any bonuses from Tall Grass and Trenches. Adjacent friendly units receive -1 hit from ranged attacks to a minimum of 1. Cannot be displaced.

Crushing Strike

This unit deals with +50% Damage with normal Melee attacks if it has not moved this turn.

How To Use Tyrant Guard

Can Pin An Enemy

Tyrant Guard specializes in isolating and pinning an enemy. Not only that but its ability also affects enemy characters near the target. If you want to immobilize pesky units, best use the Tyrant Guard to stop them.

Surround With Squishy Units

The Guardian Organism Passive allows the Tyrant Guard to buff up the defense of nearby allies. It does require the Tyrant Guard to not move. However, the condition not to move is removed if you bring in characters with Synapse like the Neurothrope and the Parasite of Mortrex,
