Tacticus Xybia – Magus

Tacticus Xybia

The Magus acts as its Patriarch’s vizier, and as the head of that alien monstrosity’s deviant church. Each one is a powerful psyker, their formidable will enhanced by the gestalt powers of the Star Children until they can manipulate enemies’ minds and bodies like puppets.

Tacticus Xybia Abilities

Mind Control

Targets an enemy unit within 3 hexes that is adjacent to one or more friendly units. For this round and the next, that enemy unit deals -X Damage, takes +Y% Damage, and becomes Taunted by the adjacent unit with the highest current Health.

Spiritual Leader

After moving, places a decoy on an empty adjacent hex. Then, if there are 2 or more decoys adjacent to Xybia, summons a Neophyte Hybrid on one adjacent decoy. If Xybia does not move, then this ability triggers at the end of her turn.

Tacticus Xybia Traits

Ambush

The first time this unit is defeated, it leaves behind a decoy and at the beginning of their next turn, if there is still a friendly decoy on the battlefield, it is resurrected with full Health on a random friendly decoy and can immediately take a turn. Xybias resurrect before non-character units.

Psyker

When this unit performs a normal ranged attack, it also deals 50% of its Damae to a random enemy adjacent to the target.

How To Get Xybia

  • Requisition Drops
  • Requisition Milestones

How To Use Xybia

Debuff & Root

Enemies targeted by Xybia’s active ability are taunted and suffer from Damage debuffs. They take more damage and deal less damage. However, you do need to have an ally beside the target to activate the ability.

Summon Neophyte Hybrids

Whenever there are two decoys beside Xybia, she spawns a Neophyte Hybrid. Note that the spawned unit can neither attack nor move on its first turn. Fortunately, they do come with Ambush, meaning that they will respawn once upon death. With that said, you can use Xybia to spawn a lot of these cannon-fodder from the backline to assist your front.
