Warhammer 3 Disable Rifts – How To

Fight The Daemons Guarding Them

Warhammer 3 Disable rifts using armies

The easiest and probably the most straight-forward way to close and disable rifts is to fight the daemons guarding them. Use an army and interact with a rift, then select the “Close Rift” option. This will cause an army of daemons to fight you so be prepared with a good army to deal with them. After winning, the rift will be closed until Ursun roars again to open another batch of rifts.

Use Heroes To Close Them

Alternatively, you can use heroes to close the rifts. Simply select a hero, approach a rift, then choose the “Close Rift” option. You need 1500 gold to seal a rift using this method.

Rifts Spots Are Fixed

Take note of spots or regions with rifts as they all appear on the same spot every time Ursun roars. The same is true even if you play a new campaign. Use this to your advantage and prep armies and heroes once the warning about the rifts appear. The corruption that Chaos rifts induce is no joke so close them as soon as you can!

Warhammer 3 Disable Rifts From The Campaign?

Use Buildings To Disable Rifts From Spawning

Warhammer 3 Disable Rifts

Rifts are integral to the game’s main campaign. However, they can be very annoying as you expand your realm. You can prevent rifts from spawning by using Protection buildings. Note that they only prevent rifts in that province, not in adjacent ones. Aside from completely removing the chances of rifts appearing, they also help in removing debilitating Chaos corruption from visiting the Realms of Chaos.

The feature allowing players to construct buildings to combat rifts has arrived with Warhammer 3’s Update 1.1.0.

Mods To The Rescue

Mods have always been around for Total War games. Warhammer is no exception. Mods that can permanently disable the rifts or at least weaken their negative impact may arrive in the near future.

Use Third-Party Programs To Edit The Game’s Script

If you find that waiting for mods to be a long wait, you can do it yourself by downloading programs to edit the game’s files to shut down rifts. However, do this at your own risk and follow the guides online to the letter. Making a mistake here can make the game malfunction, forcing you to do a clean wipe to reinstall.
