Battles in Total War Warhammer 3 are spectacles to watch and see. But you might find yourself with a smaller unit size. How do you change the unit size in Warhammer 3? Read this guide to know more.
To change the unit size, you only need to access the settings menu. Changing this settings will not affect your current playthrough. You need to start a new campaign for the new unit size to take effect.
Larger unit counts require more resources from your PC. As large quantities of units are present on the screen, the more juice your PC needs to display them. If you find it preferable to sacrifice other graphics settings for larger unit counts, you may tweak and reduce graphically-intensive settings such as Shadow Detail and Anti-Aliasing.
For balancing, the game also tweaks the HP and the stats of units, more specifically monsters, heroes, and lords. For those that prefer shorter battles, having the unit size setting set to “Small” may be the best option.
Mods have been around for all Total War games and Warhammer is no different. If you want a larger army than the highest “Ultra” you can use mods for battles involving crawling masses of men and monsters. Doing this however, may be taxing to your system. But then again, it is definitely more enjoyable to see tens of thousands battling in a single screen.
