In Expeditions: Rome, you get to be a Legatus tasked to capture lands for the glory of the empire. But how do you capture these lands? How can you pacify regions and sectors? Get to know how with this guide!
Regions can be pacified using three methods and they vary depending on the region. You can either pacify by sending a crack team of Praetorians, win a region by going with the right choices, or succeed by conquering another location within the region.
It is good practice to check how to conquer using the map or by visiting your Primus Pilus Orestes to check for missions. Orestes can be found just in front of your tent inside the legion camp.
Here is a quick breakdown on how to pacify regions in Expeditions: Rome:
In some cases, you may need to send in a team of 6 Praetorians to conquer a sector. To unlock and see these missions, you must first talk to your Orestes in front of your tent inside the legion camp.
During these missions, note that only one Praetorian can be a named-character. The team must also not involve the player’s avatar. So with that said, it is best to have a good team of Praetorians with up-to-date equipment for these kinds of missions.
This is pretty straight-forward. After conquering the enemy’s base, you can send your legion to do battle again to wrest control of a region. You can do this once your Legion has settled down and has no active actions.
In the story, you can get regions by selecting the right choices and aligning yourself with the proper factions. While it does make things easier, these usually come at a price.
You can start roaming and capturing lands once you get the quest, “The Conquest of Asia Minor”. The first region you must pacify is Mysia. From then on, you can proceed inland to conquer more lands. The subsequent Acts in Expeditions: Rome’s campaign also features new lands to conquer and pillage.
