Unfortunately, no. Julius Caesar gets shot by an archer and dies in the main story quest, March on Mytilene. Even doing his sidequest won’t save the young promising officer. In the world of Expeditions Rome, Julius Caesar dies and you get to replace him as the great historical figure of antiquity. There is no way to save Julius Caesar in this story.

After the disaster that is March on Mytilene, you get to have Caesar’s Broken Sword. This item can only be used after you finish Act 1.
During the party set by Lucullus in Rome Sweet Rome, you can talk to Julius Caesar’s mother and present to her Caesar’s Broken Sword. After the conversation, she will send you the schematics for the sword so that you can reforge it. If you have the necessary materials and you have a forge, you can reforge Caesar’s sword once you rendezvous with your legion in Act 2
Unique Ability: Every hit applies the Assayed status effect, which guarantess that the next attack on the same turn will be a critical hit that cannot be resisted.
Required Materials:
You can put Caesar’s sword, the Crocea Mors, to great use in the hands of a Veles. Have a Veles learn the skill Shiv to trigger the Assayed status effect. After using Shiv, use skills or attacks to land a guaranteed critical on your next hit for a devastating opening during battles.
You get to meet Julius Caesar during the start of the game. As your boat gets ambushed by pirates, Caesar helps your team as a Sagittarius. You also get to help him resolve issues in the legion camp. You can get immediately close to him as you are both new in the military and you both came from the same family background. Sadly, we can only imagine what this promising figure would have done in the world of Expeditions Rome.
