In Expeditions Rome, you and your team of praetorians can acquire skills and abilities to be more effective in combat. But what if you make a mistake? What if you misplace a skill point? Can you respec or reset skills in Expeditions Rome? Can you even do it in this game? Read this guide to know more!
Unfortunately, there is now way to respec in-game in Expeditions Rome. Once you consume a skill point, it’s gone and assigned to that specific skill forever. No way of getting it back or reassigning it to other skills. However, there is a solution.
Know what is the max level in Expeditions Rome and how to reach it with this guide.
An obvious solution to this predicament is to save before assigning your skill points. It’s good to have a point in which you can roll back to redo and fix mistakes. Unlike real life.
There is no need to respec or reset skills if you know what build you have in mind. It is highly recommended to complete a subclass before jumping to another one. Make sure to know what you want for the character and look for possible skills or passives that can be advantageous to you in the long run.

You can also make use of the “filler” praetorians by hiring them using the Barracks in your Legion Camp. Though they do come with random stats, most of them have their skill points allotted only under one subclass. You can try builds using this method first to find out if they can be effective or not.
If you find yourself having a lot of praetorians, you can dismiss your current ones to recruit and experiment with a new one. Know that dismissed praetorians do not permanently leave. You can recruit them again using the Barracks so it’s incredibly easy if you want to revert to them.
