Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters feature a number of classes that players can use to defeat the forces of Chaos. One of these classes is the Librarian, a “space wizard” that uses the Warp to dominate enemies in the field. How do you get the Librarian in Chaos Gate? What are good skills to get for it? In an in-game event, Grand Master Kai will contact you and reward you with an advanced class of your choosing. You can select the Librarian here to get it without being at the mercy of random mission rewards.
You can view mission rewards beforehand to see if they will reward you with a Librarian. Check often when missions spawn as you may see other advanced classes as mission rewards. Just be prepared to spend a 2 or 3 Requisition points to get the Librarian using this method.
Knight Requisition affects the spawn rate of advanced classes in the game. Upgrade them when you can if you want more of the rarer classes to appear.
The normal version of Gate of Infinity teleports only the Librarian to a given location. When Warp Charged, the this ability teleports ALL of your Grey Knights in the field. Although you already have a “Gate of Infinity” stratagem for this, having the advantage to instantaneously relocate per turn is incredibly tempting.
An AoE ability, Psychic Shriek deals 0 damage and Disrupts enemy units. The kicker however is that it can be upgraded to deal +5 Stun, making enemy easy to execute for extra AP. Combine this with the Chaplain’s Litany of Hate and you’ll be farming a lot of AP per turn.
Sanctuary, also a Stratagem, is an easy to cast spell for the Librarian. This ability grants a maximum of +5 Armor to all Grey Knights in a small area. Combo it with an upgraded Aegis Shield for more armor and use Fortress to transfer it to another Grey Knight and you’ll be having a super tank with a LOT of shields in a single turn. Adding to this is that the Librarian can do this while in cover and far away from the fight. This combo can turn even the most fragile Interceptor into a bullet sponge for a single turn.
