Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters feature a number of classes that players can use to defeat the forces of Chaos. One of these classes is the Purifier, a “space wizard” that uses the Warp to dominate enemies in the field. How do you get the Purifier in Chaos Gate? What are good skills to get for it? In an in-game event, Grand Master Kai will contact you and reward you with an advanced class of your choosing. You can select the Purifier here to get it without being at the mercy of random mission rewards.
You can view mission rewards beforehand to see if they will reward you with a Chaplain. Check often when missions spawn as you may see other advanced classes as mission rewards. Just be prepared to spend a 2 or 3 Requisition points to get the Chaplain using this method.
Knight Requisition affects the spawn rate of advanced classes in the game. Upgrade them when you can if you want more of the rarer classes to appear.
The kit carried by the Purifier is a mixed bag of both offense, defense, and support. It can be built to act similar to a Purgator with its fire support abilities but it unfortunately lacks the skills to back up other weapons aside from the Incinerator.
The Purifier can even be built to stand as an offensive attacker like the Interceptor just with less mobility and with more damage. While this can be a viable build, the Purifier’s lack of mobility might make it difficult to get around the map and hit targets.
If you like lobbing grenades all the time, you can also build the Purifier as a Grenadier.
The Purifier’s main difference from the Purgator is its Incinerator skill tree. You can finally take advantage of the short but powerful Incinerator using this class. If built around the Incinerator, the Purifier can take skills which can increase the range, arc, and the damage of the weapon. An adjacent skill tree increases the effectiveness of “Flames of Purity” ability.
Cleansing Flame is an AoE skill that purges mutations while dealing damage using Burn. The kicker here is that the Burn lasts until the target dies from the flames. This skill can be cast from Range 10, making it a viable tool to get rid of those annoying Plaguebearers.
