The Augmentation Chamber passively grants you 1 Servitor after a couple of days. It is recommended to build this as soon as you can as it can help you get through the construction and first upgrades of most facilities. Should you find yourself having a destroyed Augmentation Chamber and with 0 Servitors, look for new ones using the next method below.
You can get more Servitors by completing missions across the system. This is a good way to get your second upgrades for facilities online as they usually grant a large number of them. If you find yourself struggling with low Servitor numbers, this is a reliable way to get them. However, mission rewards are quite random so you might have to wait a few days for new Bloom sites to spawn.
Random events may pop out from time to time and choosing the right choices may net you some Servitors. It can also cause you to lose some so be wary of them.
You mainly use Servitors to build new facilities in the Baneful Edict. You can allot them to specific buildings to give you passive bonuses as you go on with your campaign. Be mindful about how you go with construction as prioritizing one facility over others may be detrimental to your progress.
Aside from constructing new ones, Servitors are also used to repair broken or destroyed facilities. The destruction may be caused by certain events such as going through the warp, random events, and encounters against enemy ships. While it may be very tempting to go wild with the construction, leaving a few Servitors in reserve for repairs is a good practice especially during the latter stages of the game.
Be on the look out for events as they can reduce the number of Servitors that you have. This can be troublesome during the late game as events may cause your ship to lose Servitors due to Chaos corruption or politics.
