Wasteland 3’s Steel Town Ending asks you to make a difficult choice: what should you do to the captive Synthetics? While it is a question of morality, the game is pretty straightforward with its rewards and how it sees you after you make the choice. With the finale just straight ahead, what should you choose? Kill them? Set them free? Or erase their memory? Another choice is also present: have them employed under Abigail Markham. Here are the results of each choice:
*Note that the effects of each choice may have consequences the further you are in the story.

Probably the worst ending as you both lose the sympathy of the synthetics (except their haters) and you also doom Steeltown to its death. Without the computing power of the synths and the management prowess of Abigail Markham, Steeltown is doomed to fail. You will also get the ire of the Patriarch.
While altruistic and morally correct (if you believe that synths are sentient beings), this also dooms Steeltown. Without the synths, Abigail quits and leaves the whole thing to the mercy of the gangs. Ends similarly to the Kill The Synths route.
Play along and do Abigail Markham’s bidding. Erase all of the synth’s memory and return Steeltown’s efficiency to its former glory. Has almost the same rewards below as you get to finish the Patriarch’s mission to the letter. However, this choice goes against the Ghost Gang, forcing you to fight to get Handicraft, a robot that sells crafting materials and can buff you, for your Ranger HQ. May have dire consequences if you decide to undertake quests given by synths down the line.
A unmentioned route that can be unlocked if you’ve managed to convince Blue and the Ghost Gang of your motives. This requires you to sneak around the Ghost Gang’s base and talk to Blue without instigating a fight. Blue will give you a chance and tell you to free the synths. However, freeing only the synths will lead you to end with #2. Instead, choose to erase the synths’ memories first. Afterwards, they will offer a compromise that they will work with Abigail Arkham if they are allowed to roam free.
Note: You also need to have either Kiss Ass 10 or Hard Ass 10 to get this.
So there you have it. Wasteland 3 Steeltown’s ending choices can have great consequences as you proceed down the story. It may be a DLC map but its effects may ripple down the line once you come to the penultimate showdown in this game. Best choose your allies here and build your reputation in Steeltown whenever you can.
