In Digimon Survive, players can get to view the worst possible ending possible. Given that you can choose from a number of endings, this one can be easily ignored. However, if you’re curious as to what would happen, how to get the bad ending, and more, then continue reading this guide.
In part 8, Takuma gets thrown back to the real world together with Miyuki. At the end of this chapter, you will be given a choice between going back to your friends or staying in the real world and just forgetting everything.
Depending on your Karma, you may have two to four choices to choose from. One of these choices is to “Never go back.” Choosing this one lets you view the bad ending. Also, don’t forget to save before you choose.
Note that choosing the bad ending does not unlock an achievement like the other endings. You only get to view Takuma becoming a miserable character with this choice.
Choosing the bad ending, Takuma talks to both Miyuki and Agumon stating his wishes not to go back. Both Agumon and Miyuki go back to save the others, sad but respecting Takuma’s wishes.
After sometime, Takuma is bullied due to his involvement with Piedmon. With video evidence of his battle, his peers and teachers spread rumors about him. This then left Takuma without friends, solely relying on his mom.
As the Digimon world and the real world are connected, Takuma explains the slow death of the real world. He laments on being constantly on the move and emergency relocations being a common thing. Takuma also thinks that this may have resulted from the others having failed to defeat the real culprit in the Digimon world.
